Yankee Hill Fire Safe Council is seeking Grant Funding through the Pepsi Refresh Project.

The Goal:

Build (3) FIREWISE-Concow Cabins for families who lost home in 08 fire

On-line voting has begun & We Need Your Vote!

The Pepsi Refresh Grant process is underway and we need everyone to vote once a day, everyday, until September 30th.  Registration is simple, Voting is free.  Follow this link:

Click on "vote for this idea".  A registration page will pop up.  Fill in the information and it will take you back to the project to vote.  Rules state that we may register one email per person and vote one time each day for our project.

is Now Accepting Applications for

Resident's Assistance

 If you’re a resident in need of assistance with thinning brush and limbing trees to reduce the
fire danger from around your home the Residents Assistance Program is now accepting
applications.                                               To request an application call 530-877-0984. The program is available to residents who are elderly, disabled or low income living within an area of high wildfire danger and need assistance around their primary residence with fire hazardous brush and trees to complete their defensible space. The program provides a free home consultation to determine work needed to meet requirements of the law, procurement of competitive bids from qualified and insured contractors and financial assistance based on residents income.
