Project Name: Concow Hazardous Fuel Removal, Phase III
Funded By: USDA Forest Service, Plumas National Forest (Feather River Ranger District).
We will be performing fuel reduction work on parcels located in the Cirby Creek Zone and Hoffman Road. During the current phase of this project you will see crews hand cutting, piling and burning.
Larger dead tree debris will later be gound up for biomass reutilization.
Burning is regulated under an Agricultural Burn Permit issued by Butte County Air Quality Management District.
Current ignitions in California may be viewed through this link to the Prescribed Fire Information Reporting System.
Project Burn Status: We plan on burning in the Cirby Creek/Concow Rd section on May 14 (MON) - May 18 (FRI), 2012 as long as a burn day is declared and the conditions are safe.
This map indicates the work zones as outlined in blue.
